Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Troubleshooting:

    • Provide advanced troubleshooting for a variety of issues, including:
      • Desktop and laptop computers, servers, and network hardware.
      • Software and OS-related problems, particularly with Microsoft Windows.
      • Printers, print servers, and peripherals.
      • VPN connectivity and network access.
  2. Systems Management:

    • Monitor and address antivirus alerts using remediation tools.
    • Ensure systems remain patched, secure, and updated to reduce downtime.
  3. End-User Support:

    • Resolve tickets related to hardware, software, and network issues efficiently and professionally.
    • Guide employees through IT best practices, tools, and security processes.
  4. Collaboration and Growth:

    • Participate actively in team discussions to identify solutions and improve workflows.
    • Stay curious and seek opportunities to learn new skills, including scripting, network automation, and basic database tasks, with guidance when needed.
  5. Customer Service:

    • Maintain excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring a positive, customer-focused experience for users.
    • Independently manage priorities and tasks, ensuring issues are resolved promptly without requiring constant supervision.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience:

    • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in desktop support (strongly preferred).
  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Thorough familiarity with Microsoft Windows OS and the Office/O365 suite.
    • Exposure to antivirus monitoring and remediation tools.
    • Knowledge of basic IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and peripherals.
  • Certifications:

    • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications (preferred but not required).
  • Professional Skills:

    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while being self-motivated to work independently.
    • Eagerness to grow professionally, particularly in technical areas like scripting, network automation, and database work.
